Welcome to Widhya Asih Foundation... A refuge for Bali orphans and poor children |
Health Check The Widhya Asih Foundation (WAF) is in charge of seven orphanages and a number of community projects to improve the well-being of the poor in Bali. WAF has noticed an increase every year in needy children and burdened people knocking on the doors of one of the Widhya Asih centres for help and a place to live. It is a policy to never reject anyone because it is written:
Matthew 11:28: "Come to me, all of you who are tired from carrying heavy loads, and I will give you rest; and
Matthew 25:40: The King will reply, 'I tell you, whenever you did this for one of the least important of these brothers of mine, you did it for me!'
"We believe God sends these people to us because WAF are able, with the help of sponsors and donations, to offer them the support and assistance they require."

Volunteer Trip from West Australia |
|
The premises of Widhya Asih II Orphanage (Blimbingsari village - Melaya - Jembrana) were buzzing with the sound of hammers and other building activities during May 2007.
A group of volunteers, mostly from the Mandurah Baptist Church in West Australia travelled to Bali to provide supplementary labour to the large building and renovation project financed by the Church and individuals.
The group of 11 individuals fundraised AUS$15,000 to help finance the upgrade of the the three dormitaries for boys.
